Miriam Jones JazzMiriam Jones has a way of singing the soul back home without putting it to sleep. Her sultry, vulnerable vocal style is gaining her a formidable reputation on both sides of the Atlantic, having performed and recorded in her native Canada (where she was a CBC One Artist of the Week), the US, and Britain where she now lives. Combining the cool, smooth tone of Diana Krall and Norah Jones with a dexterity of voice more akin to the great Ella, she never fails to turn heads.

Miriam's pianist and husband, Jez Carr, has been a regular on the UK jazz scene for the last ten years, playing with the likes of Mark Lockhart, Ben Castle, Orphy Robinson, Steve Gregory, Dave O'Higgins and Patrick Wood. Described by CDBaby as an assertive and lyrical voice at the piano with an incredibly bright future, his strongest influences include Keith Jarrett, Alan Pasqua, and a sprinkling of Bill Evans.

Miriam and Jez are often joined by leading jazzers Mike Haughton (sax), Steve Lawson (bass) and Tom Hooper (drums). Together they provide perfect entertainment at weddings, corporate events and black tie functions.
